Over the last 20+ years, we have had many conversations with school principals about how they enact the Stronger Smarter Approach in their schools after attending the Stronger Smarter Leadership Program.
The Stronger Smarter Approach is not so much a ‘new program’ that you implement, but a way of ‘doing things differently’ by taking a strength-based rather than a deficit approach. It is a way of thinking that brings other programs to life and brings everyone together with a shared vision and understanding of high expectations.
Our position papers, reports and reading reviews provide deeper dives into how the Stronger Smarter Approach is being, and can be, enacted in schools and organisations.
In this paper we describe a framework for transitions in the Early Years to support smooth transitions across the sector. The differences in approach are subtle, but the results are significant.
We have developed a First Nations Community Empowerment Framework which provides a set of processes to support whole school communities to work together to improve outcomes for students.
We recognise the opportunity to build on the strong foundations that First Nations students demonstrate in STEM classroom spaces. We currently offer scholarships and mentoring through the Teachers of STEM Initiative and have also developed classrooms resources.
