Thought Leadership

The Stronger Smarter Approach provides educators with the vision and confidence to believe they can make a difference, and the strategies and tools to enact this vision.

The Stronger Smarter Approach

We all know what needs to happen for transformative change in Indigenous education, but very little has been written about ‘how’ we can achieve this.  TheStronger Smarter Approachprovides a framework to lead educators through the ‘how.’  With this framework, we can rewrite the narrative of our schools to one of engagement, belonging and achievement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Stronger Smarter Approach

The Stronger Smarter Approach elevates Indigenous education outcomes through thoughtful leadership and actionable strategies. Our framework, outlined in the Position Paper, integrates Cornerstones, Spheres of Influence, and Meta-strategies to drive transformative change in schools.

Stronger Smarter Cornerstones

Rewriting the narrative is not a ‘one size fits all’ approachIt needs a deep understanding of local contexts and has to privilege the voices of our local communities.  It needs great leadership in our schools.  It needs every educator to hold a deep sense of personal responsibility for change.  The four cornerstones of theStronger Smarter Approach describe how if we do things slightly differently, if we point the compass in a slightly different direction, we can end up in a place of transformative change.

Enacting the Approach
