Jarlarla™ is an innovative new Professional Development activity designed to ignite your passion to incorporate Indigenous Knowledges into your Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum and beyond.

Program structure

Jarlarla is a 3-day face-to-face program.  The program offers support to educators to expand their knowledge and understanding of how to incorporate Indigenous Knowledges (IK) into the curriculum in both primary and secondary settings.

The program will help you understand how to locate and evaluate culturally competent IK resources and discuss best practice and quality teaching strategies in IK STEM.  We will discuss strategies to authentically engage community to collaborate and create place-based solutions to implement IK into your individual school context.

Approaches to Learning
